What a wondrous machine-thing!
Sorry I cant explain its workings..
This is cool. According to this thread, it's an optical illusion caused by the camera frame rate being in sync with the blade rotation speed. Awesome effect though.
Camera frame rate.. and there I was obsessing on the wonder of the machine..
